Let's Talk About Medical Marijuana

Let's just start here and get this out of the way... Now that we have had a good laugh, allow me to explain that this is NOT what medical marijuana is all about. It's not about getting stoned and losing touch with reality. It's about relief from symptoms in a natural way that is non addictive and safe. It offers a chance to avoid, wean down, or get off of pharmaceutical medications altogether. Medicines like opioids - you know the thing that is a huge epidemic crisis in this country. Medical marijuana is safe and no one has ever needed Narcan because of using marijuana. There are many different forms of medical marijuana and many different ways to use it. A Walk to End Alzheimer's

My grandmother had Dementia. I work with a whole floor of residents who suffer from varying degrees of Alzheimer's and Dementia. It's scary and sad and sometimes even a little comical. I see how this disease destroys people who were once something so much more. I'm participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's through my work in a few weeks. Consider a donation for me. Challenge Day 27 - Failure

I failed to post the last two days because I had to attend a CPR class, a nurse's meeting, orientation and a doctor's appointment. Too much going on to stop and think about writing. My apologies. Today is a Top 5 post. The 5 most difficult parts of my health focus and the 5 small victories that keep me going. Here goes... Top 5 most difficult parts of having Crohn's 1. Having to go - NOW! When I have to go I have to go immediately. If I cannot get to a bathroom within seconds I will have a mess. It is the most annoying part of Crohn's for me. It is also the part of having this disease that causes me the most anxiety. 2. Doctor visits and test. I loathe going to the doctor. I loathe having to wait in waiting rooms full of people I always deem sicker than myself. I loathe having tests and procedures. I loathe the preps for the tests and everything they encompass. 3.
